Federica Mogherini detained in Belgium – report

(ANSA) – ROME, DEC 2 – Federica Mogherini, the former EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, is among three people to have been detained in Belgium in relation to a corruption probe, Le Soir reported on Tuesday.
Former Italian foreign minister Mogherini served as the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs between 2014 and 2019.
She is currently the Rector of the College of Europe.
According to the report, the probe is linked to searches of the offices of the European External Action Service (EEAS) in Brussels and the College of Europe in Bruges that took place early on Tuesday. (ANSA).
