Milano-Cortina: CAS overturns ban on Russian skiers

(ANSA) – ROME, DEC 2 – The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Tuesday overturned the total ban on Russian and Belarusian skiers from international competitions, paving the way for them to compete under neutral flags at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina on February 6-22.
If they "meet the criteria" established by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for neutral status, athletes from both countries "should be allowed to participate in the International Ski Federation's qualifying events" for the next Winter Games, the CAS said in a statement. (ANSA).
